CLOSER THAN CLOSE
A vase, a lamp, a shoe and a bag all float between the background and the grainy textured foreground. The sharp opposition of colours, shapes and materials vibrates within, and gives depth to the space of the picture. All seen through a spectrum of light and dark gradients, a different distribution of focus, and an expressive use of perspective and the two dimensions that are implicit in the photographic medium.
