CLOSER THAN CLOSE
A vase, a lamp, a shoe, and a bag are arranged between the background and the foreground. The strong contrast of colours, shapes and materials vibrates within, and gives depth to the space of the picture. All seen through a spectrum of light and dark gradients, a shifting distribution of focus, and an expressive use of perspective—making the most of the two-dimensional nature of the photographic medium.
